At sound of thunder uses a lot of imagery and figurative language. Including amazing imagery of touch, sense of brightness and metaphor. Eckels felt his eyelids blink over his stare, and the sign burned in this momentary darkness... Eckels felt his eyelid, this is the sense of touch. The momentary darkness suggested that the author used the sense of brightness. The sign wasn't actually burning so it is a metaphor which transferres the quality of fire to the sign. The story used a lot of imagery to make the story more exiting. All the simile and metaphor makes this a successful short story.

Pancakes are pretty famous in some places, especially North America. North America pancakes are mostly better than European ones. North America pancakes are more oily and tasty, this is because pancakes made in North America uses bacon fat. They also use maple syrup on the top to make that perfect smell and look and makes you wet your mouth before you even taste it. The other reason that North America pancakes are so delicious is because they use melted butter on the top to make that warm taste in your mouth. Sport Day
The sport day was a day for us to move around, if you think sports day was successful, think again. The sport day the school organized is a waist of time. Although we don't have school, The weather was shivering cold because of the cloudy sky and that we are near water. the food was unelectable, the school had to bring a lot of meals for hundreds on students: cold sandwiches and mushed apples. Although the competition was fun, lots of students were confused by where the should be at what time because the teachers only anounced track events and nothing else. The school had to delay events, because there is too much for the teachers to keep order, this resulted in no time for tug of war. Overall, the sport day was badly organized and was quite a waste of time.
